For some reason, the abbreviation is RNIAF. Not sure what the “I” is for.

Wikipedia states the abbreviation as RNLAF, which makes more sense.

That’s because there’s no ‘I’. It’s an L, or at least that’s how I see it on their website. So RNLAF. The L is presumably from R oyal N ether l ands A ir F orce, though that is still a little weird (possibly to disambiguate between them and the Royal Norwegian Air Force).

I don’t think it’s that bad. A bit chunky from some angles, but on the whole, I don’t think it’s an ugly plane.
